
Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27 1976) is an former American football tight end who was a part of the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is regarded as to be one of the most talented tight ends ever, and is currently the NFL's most efficient tight end in terms of receiving yards and receptions by tight ends. Gonzalez also ranks third in receptions total. Gonzalez's initial 12 seasons were in the Kansas City Chiefs. In 1997, he was selected as the 1st pick. Also, he played with the Atlanta Falcons for five of the final seasons. Gonzalez retired in 2013 and was a football analyst at NFL on Prime Video. He previously worked with CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six first-team All-Pros. Gonzalez was recognized for his durability and his ability to not throw a ball. He appeared in 272 of the 272 games in the regular season and only fumbled twice in 1,327 total touches. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame In the year 2019.
